One of the big attractions of Narrogin Race Week was the
Classic Car Sprint and 1/4 mile sprints. These were held on Earl Street on Saturday
the 24th of November 2001 Sprinting started at 09:30 from the Clayton Road end,
towards the Saleyards.
Of big interest to locals was the 'Run What You Brung' feature which allowed anybody to enter their own car and prove just what it, and they, can really do rather than just talk about it in the bar!. All vehicles had to be scrutinised and to conform to CAMS regulations. The entry fee covered the necessary temporary memberships.
