Our local Motoplex at Kwinana has a "Run What Ya Brung" every Wednesday night, when for $30, kiddies can thrash Daddys Commodore down a drag strip - legally. It's only $11 a head to watch this combination of comedy and mayhem. I suspect that every Thursday morning a lot of middle aged men wonder why their family saloon suddenly has little rear rubber left and a strange new engine knock! Funniest thing we saw that night was the old, shabby Datsun Sunny that suddenly made a very un-Datsun like sound and vanished towards the strip end in a very respectable time. Methinks some serious engineering had gone on under the bonnet!

And when you're bored with going fast, it's time to trash those tyres....
