A joke was once heard on a local radio station in WA where the question was
asked:
"What is the most exciting thing in Busselton?
a) The Jetty,
b) The netball courts,
c) Bunbury. (Bunbury is a somewhat bigger town about an hour north.)
Still, we paid it a visit.
Especially as I'd heard that the jetty was now rebuilt and that you could walk
right to the end where an underwater observation platform had been built. So
we paid our entrance fee and off we hiked...
They didn't bother to tell us it was actually closed due to the jetty being unsafe and we were just paying for the walk!
It was a long, cold walk back.
