In November 2001 Kenn was given the option to go and select
a new car. After extensive road testing of the various models on the market
(and terrifying a few salesmen!) he finally selected a Ford Falcon wagon with
a straight 6, 4 litre engine. A year on, 60,000kms and it wasn't such a good
decision. Bloody uncomfortable and dodgy brakes was been the first year's experience
- I didn't want another Ford Falcon AU!!
Five years and 220,000 kms later I can say this; it's never let me down, it always starts but the brakes are always pretty feelingless and have an annoying habit of letting the pedal hit the floor - sometimes whilst stationary at traffic lights! Wet weather is always exciting, unless it has very good tyres fitted it slides and slithers all over the place - quite alarmingly really. It's also starting to get a bit tatty due to being clobbered a couple of times and an argument with a 'roo - proving that the 'roo bar was a good decision.
